Karl Lilje

I am certainly no Einstein, just an explorer of inner and outer space.

My humble advance to computer science:

Language Neutral Realtime Voice Recognition utilising optimised processor instructions and relativistic calculations to effectively neutralise requirements for sound filtering and frequencing of a voice recognition library. This enables the processor to make accurate judgements about human speech, enough to control a device, e.g. for a disabled person, and is language neutral as it operates on the sub-phoneme level.

Light
I'm currently working on a paper on the nature of light. I've been working on it for 10 years. My dream is to increase the speed of telecommunications to Planck-light speed, enabling near-realtime communication across straight-line distances, e.g. between Earth and Mars. My estimate is current optical communication operates at 60% of light's potential speed, due to various material factors, as well as the type of light used, and how it is used. LASER communication is hampered by the density of the fibre optic and by microthermal cooling of artefacts in the fibre. By saturating the conduit we can create a standing wave able to affect both ends of the tunnel simultaneously. A 'perfect pipe'. Imagine tapping the end of a stick, the message is transmitted at Planck speed to the other end. Now imagine the stick is made of light.

Illusion
My other interests are the philosophy and psychology of illusion, why people believe in everything except real life. I find real life exquisite, intriguing and mysterious. This is why I try to capture a moment in time, or a perfect facial expression to translate from the body into the mind a clear understanding. My interest in art encompasses left and right brain, and the meeting of these two minds on the canvas. A blend of technique and emotion.

Mechanics
Lilje's Law of Gear Time : Any two meshing gears have the same rotation speed regardless of the number and size of the gears inserted between them. e.g. Gear A meshes with Gear B and turns at 1 revolution per second, causing Gear B to turn at 2 revolutions per second. Inserting any number of gears inbetween has no effect on Gear A or Gear B's rotation time.
